Radiator fan runs on cold engine

Radiator fan runs on cold engine
I have a 94 Accord EX coupe, auto trans, AC, power everything. The cooling fan (not the condenser fan) comes on even if the engine is ice cold, and will run 10-15 minutes after turning the engine off. Example- Move the car in the driveway in the AM, cold car, runs maybe 2 minutes, and the fan will run 10 min after the ignition is off.
My battery was dead the other day, in part I think due to the load the fan puts on the battery.
The car warms normaly, no cooling problems, AC is fine. Is this a sensor issue, perhaps?
Thanks in advance.

The coolant temp sensor on these cars seem to have issues. Many people complain of overheating and no cooling fan function at all. Try unplugging the sensor at the thermostat housing and see if the fan stops. It is a green plastic connector with 2 or 3 wires on it. If the fan does stop, you may need a new sensor.

The sensor mentioned above turns on the fans when the engine is running. Your fan is running when the car is turned off. That is temp switch b.
That sensor is on the engine block towards the front passenger side of the car. It has a green electrical connector just like the one on the thermostat housing. Unplug that sensor.

I have a 1990 accord EXR, A/C, A/T 200,000km with the same problem as mentioned in the original post. Is the wiring and placement of sensors similar? The fan will run for 10+min. even if I run the engine for literally five seconds first thing in the morning.

Worked for me also though it wasn't the green switch itself that got replaced but the sensor just a little farther down the line.
