HELLO
mY SIS HAS A 94 ACCORD. THE FAN TURNS ON AS SOON AS THE CAR IS TURNED OFF, IF EVEN ONLY FOR 10 SECONDS. i TDOES TURN OFF AFTER 16 MINUTES, BUT IT SHOULDN'T TURN ON AT ALL.IS IT THE TIMER? I KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE, BUT CAN'T FINE IT. ASKED HONDA, THEY SAID SOME YEARS ON DRIVER SIDE, SOME BEHIND GLOVE BOX. TIMER, I THINK, IS WORKING SINCE IT SHUTS OFF IN 16 MINS. WHY IS IT COMING ONAFTER 10 SECS OF RUNNING, NO OVERHEATING INVOLVED. THAN K YOU

Take it easy on the caps, its hard on the eyes to read.
The timer is working properly, because it shuts off the fan after 16 min. There are two sensors that turn the fans on (sensor A and B). Sensor A works when the car is running and sensor B works when the car is turned off.
Sensor B, in your case, is turns on at a set temperature and turns on the fans to help cool the engine. Temperature sensor B may be faulty. If you have a volt meter the resistance should be infinity (open) when you probe the two leads on the sensor with a cold engine. If you get something other than infinity, then the sensor is shorted on the closed positon and you should replace.
If you go the DIY section and open the link in thread titled ACC 5th Gen... you can download all the sections of a 94 shop manual to help diagnose problems.
Good Luck.
EDIT: I reread your post, and have a question. If you turn on the car for only ten seconds with a cold engine, does the cooling fan come on for 16 min?

Like PA says, fan switch B is responsible for switching the fan after you turn off the engine.
On the front corner of the engine,#9 is the nozzle for the upper radiator hose. #18 is the FanSwitch Bwe're talking about. Unplug it. Now when you turn off the engine, the fan won't run. If that's the case, it means you need a new Fan Switch B.

Hello, thank you both for your quick replies. Yes even if she turns the car on for 20 seconds, the fan will run for 15 minutes. She looked online for a replacement switch B, nothing is called that. There are coolant temp sensors and coolant temp switches and radiantor cooling sensors, and ...., how to know which one it is. It does have some #'s on it, but being over 40 with no lasic I can't tell what it is. Maybe if I take the part out and get a magnifying glass I could get the #, but then what, call Honda? Did I mention I've been there and talked to them a few times with no assist?
If you unplug that sensor, do the cooling fans turn off? They should if that sensor is faulty.
If you go to hondapartsdeals.com and put your car's information on there, you will be able to get the part number. That diagram below is from a site like theirs. The section you want to look at is engine, then water pump/sensor. That site will have the honda oem part number.
If you can't get help from the dealership parts people, talk to someone in the service dept. They would have to know what you are talking about. Although one claimed they never heard of a two digit error code when I called to ask about a code 43. I never called that dealership again.
