Default radiator main cooling fan question

Got my radiator replace today from a auto shop because of the huge leak from the top, mechanic told me that the main fan need to replace also because it doesn't supply enough cooling to the radiator, he told me it supposed to have two different speed (high & low) high speed will activate when it reach half of the temp gauge, is this true? My gauge didn’t reach that point even in summer, its always below half i think.

On all US manufactured cars, there are 2 fans and they are either on or off depending on coolant temp. I would be very surprised if your Accord is different, although we don't have the 2.0 L engine displacement in USA.

Are both fans (assuming there are 2) coming on w/ AC?

good luck

yes it has 2 fans and they both turn on w/ AC, don't have overheating issue though, just want to know if it really true that the radiator fan has 2 diff speed (low and high). i believe the radiator fan is on the driver side, and the other one is for condenser (i might be wrong)

I've never heard of a 2-spd fan on any Accord of any year. Perhaps someone else has some additional info. I think your mechanic was mistaken.

good luck
