radio only says COdE and wont play, please help

Question radio only says COdE and wont play, please help
i have a 94 hondaaccord ex, i took out and cleaned my battery and now my radio says COdE, i found my anti theft radio identification card. is there a certain way to enter the code?

Turn it on so it says"CODE" just enter the number and you should be good to go.

i did and it still didnt work thats why i was wondering if there was a certain way to do it. :/

Sometimes after too many attempts, the system locks. To reset, pull the BackUp fuse in underhood fuse box for 20 secs and then re-enter code.

i got it to work , i disconnected the cars battery then connected it again, then i tried to put in the code and it worked.
