Rattle in drive 99 Honda accord
My accord had been making a rattling noise in drive for a few months now it only occurs when the engine warms up and only at a stop doesn’t rattle when accelerating or anything like that and goes away when I put the car in reverse or in park. I told the shop and they can’t seem to replicate the sound as it is intermittent but it drives me insane. I know the transmission is good because it was replaced prior a month or two and shifts good I’m thinking motor mount please help

Noises are tough to troubleshoot over the web. Since the rattle happens at cold temps, the exhaust would be my first suspect. Since the exhaust has to be removed to swap the transmission, look for any loose connections. The catalytic converter heat shield is common to rattle. You can try a large hose clamp on both ends to hold it down. I think the dryer hose clamps at the chain home improvement stores are large enough to secure the heat shield.
