Default Rear balance shaft gear

I'm removing the oil pump to re-seal between the pump housing and engine on a 1997 Accord with a F22B2 engine. I'm at the point to remove the pump housing except that I can't get the rear balance shaft gear off. I removed the bolt but the gear won't pull off and there is no room to get standard gear puller jaws beneath it. Is there another way to get it off or does Honda have a special puller? Any advice or information would be much appreciated.
Thanks

There should be 3 bolts that hold the plate to the block. I don't remember but I know one of the 2 gears won’t come off unless you remove the whole balancing shaft. It’s been a min since I took them off but I think that how it works. I'm going off my memory...and sometimes it's not all that great. Jim or PAhonda should chime in with some type of diagram...they are good about thos.

Thanks for replying. There are 3 bolts that hold the gear case to the oil pump housing. Below that is a bolt that hold the mating gear to the rear balance shaft. I removed that bolt. The service manual just says remove bolt then remove gear but that gear doesn't want to come off. Do you remember doing this when you removed the oil pump housing (housing is different than the gear case)?

3-12mm bolts then replace the seal behind it.
I can't understand what gear you are tring to pull off? or why?
It re-aligns with a casting boss [highlighted]

Thanks for all the replies but everyone is speaking about the oil pump "gearcase". I am trying to remove the oil pump "housing" which is what the gearcase mounts to and what the crankshaft and balance shafts stick through. I have the "gearcase" removed. Underneath the gearcase is the rear balance shaft with a gear attached to it by a bolt. The HONDA service manual says to remove the bolt and then remove the gear but the gear won't just come off and I can't get a standard puller around the gear. This is step that has to be done to remove the oil pump as per the HONDA Service Manual.
If anyone has run into this please offer some suggestions.
