rear brake drums
Hello all...hate to sound lazy but there is a lot of snow out there in NH so I figure I will just ask...On a 06 Accord with rear brake drums...do they just pull off by themselves or do I have to pop the dust cap and take the wheel bearings out also? Can the drums be machined or should I just replace them? If replacement is the way to go, are aftermarket any good? I have a nasty brake pulse in the rear and am going to fix it when the weather improves. Thanks.

RE: rear brake drums
When it warms up and you get the tire off, you can look at the drum and see 2 threaded holes in it. I think it is 10mmX1.25 threads, any way you run bolts into the holes and they hit against the hub, if thedrum is really rusted on the hubyou might need to thump it with a rubber mallet a few times. Be sure the parking brake is off.
No need to pop off the center cap.
There should be plenty of meat on the drum to have it resurfaced at the local parts store, that has a brake lathe.
