Default RE: rear motor mount

The vac line isn't easy to see unless you are replacing the mount .... if I remember correctly, it was black plastic wrapped around the black sub-frame on mine .... I had the V6, but it's the same idea. Since you plan to make a lot of power with a turbo system, I'd recommend solid mounts. I forgot who makes them, but they ARE available.

I saw the solid mounts on ebay. So u can replace a solenoid mount w a solid one? I was considering this to try to alleviate my mild vibration in gear. If u do, do u have to do anything vacuum wise like plug a port or anything?

Any updates on this? Would consider running a solid mount if it works well. If u do that what do u do withthe solenoid and vacuum lines? Do u have to close the vacuum loop to itself or what?

there is a vacuum line from the top rear drivers side of the intake that going to the mount controller, I just plugged that up.

I really do not see how changing the rear mount to a solid one will stop vibrations.

So is there a good way to isolate whether the solenoid is bad or if it is the mount? Anyone ever just have to change solenoid? Didn't know if that was even an option to buy separate. My 98 2.3 is only at 72k and has done this for prob 20k miles since my grandma had the car. The mount has definitely not been under any extreme loading...lol
