I need to replace the engine in my 2003 Accord EX 4 cylinder and can’t find anyone that sells a rebuilt engine for it. I am also considering going with a used one if I have to. The old one is not in rebuildable condition block or head. Suggestion opinions and sources would be helpful. What year engines interchange with mine.

 

A site like car-part [dot] com will give you local junkyards with engines for your accord. It will also list engines that are compatible with your accord.

 

That is a start. I still would like to see what a rebuilt cost.

or go with a TSX swap....gain a couple of extra horses

 

I picked up a used K24a4 with less than 50k on it for $500. I'd say used would work just fine rather than trying to find a rebuilt.

 

The ebay ad looks tempting but that mileage is hard to believe for a 2003. What all would have to be changed over for an accord and does it use the same cam as the ELEMENT

Spalding auto parts says they have had the engine since 2005. Has anyone on here purchased from them before. The engine’s outward condition matches the miles so you got me wondering about getting this one and a 100% feedback on ebay for over ten years is very hard to do.
