Default Looking for owners manual

I tried the link and it says my VIN is invalid, when I know that it's correct. Could be because this car is from Quebec and I live in Nova Scotia so they're searching US records only?

My car is a 2005 and the only one I could find is a 1996, can't believe how hard this PDF is to find.

Thanks for any other suggestions

PS, on a side note, had something odd happen today with the car. Was trying to lock doors with keyfob and when it didn't seem to work I pressed open unlock then lock again and for some reason both the passenger and driver window went down 3 or 4 inches, how odd is that?

It's very possible that's only USA records. I know you can BUY the owner's manual from www.helminc.com
You might be able to register on ownerlink with the year/model, without the VIN.

I think there's a feature that you do *SOMETHING* with the remote to lower the windows. I don't remember the details, but I sorta thought you hold down the unlock-button for a couple seconds.

Default Remote and windows

Hello Jim:
You're right, if you press unlock once it opens the driver side, then again opens the passenger side then if you hold it down the windows on both sides will lower, (is that in case the locks aren't functioning so you can get into the car by popping the locks manually)? First time it did it I thought oh great, something is messed up electronically with this car

I think it's to open up the car & allow it to cool down while you're standing nearby.

I'm gonna see if I can split our recent conversation out of this sticky thread, since it's a bit of a different topic.
