Default removing antenna

i'm having trouble removing whole unit from the car. i'm following the writeup in the DYI section.

the mast was broken off and has slid all the way down into the "tube" and i cant get it out.

i cant unplug the antenna plug (i think thats what it is) to remove the unit to work on it at my work bench.

edit: this is for a 92 with a power antenna

I take it you have a 90'-97' model accord. The antenna pulg (label "B" in picture) should not give you any trouble coming off...its kind of like an audio jack that just unplugs. Then remove the power connection (label "A"). Then remove bolt ("C"). As long as you have removed the top nut on the outside of your car you should be able to slide the whole unit, antenna and motor, in through your trunk.

Just maybe a helpful note if you haven't gotten done yet. I did this same thing on my 91, had a ton of problems. 1st, part of the mast was stuck in the antenna tube (you couldn't see it). So, if your new mast doesn't seem to fit, don't force it. Also, there was a piece of the white plastic cord broken off inside the unit, it would feed but wouldn't fully retract. Just a few experiences of mine I thought could be helpful...
