You also need a pass side trans mount. Your 5speed won't swap right in. ESP makes a good kit for $300 or you can buy just the trans mount for $110. welding the 5speed bracket is kinda sketchy IMPO but ppl have done it...let me know how it turns out. Sorry late on the thread I just saw it.

I plan on modifying the pass trans mount like this

I am working with a super tight budget right now.
As for the hard lines OI am going to look at that today.
The motor is already out of the donor car so getting the hard lines off should not be too much trouble. However the local auto parts shop makes hydraulic lines for not much money so I may go that route.

when doing that method make sure to take your time and make sure it's 100% level otherwise you will risk snapping axles later on. That’s why I suggested the ESP mount. I know being on a budget sux :/

The hard part about the OEM hard lines are you have to bolt them to the fire wall. That's a PIA since your auto does not have the holes for the brackets. Well I know for fact the 4th gens don't and my cd5 didn't either.

Yes thank you.
I already have much of the good info from that thread printed out.
I plan on not using the clutch switch either.
Alot of different info on getting the CC to work, I guess I will fool with it and see what the deal is. I still do not understand why it will not work like it used to using the brake pedal to turn it off.

I am getting ready to go out there and pull the clutch master and pedals off and install them on my car.

Hopefully it goes well.

I was thinking of using a hole saw to cut the center out for the CMC, what did you use?

Well lucky for me the 5th gen does have the brackets there already so I am going to go with the hard lines.

However I haven't seen my line wrenches for years which means I must have lent them out to a 'friend' some time ago.

Also I found that the PO did not give me the trans mount so I have to order one.

Autozone has them for $80 and Ebay has them for $32 so I think Ebay wins again.

my cb7 already had the hole for my MC so I had to do no cutting.
Now for the CC you need a 5speed CC box. Your auto CC box WILL NOT work with your 5speed set up

I hope I can prove that to be wrong, if not I will source a 5 speed CC as we use it a lot out here on these long country roads.

if I'm not mistaken the auto CC reads from the TCU which you will no longer have. I'm not entirely sure where the 5speed CC unit receives its data from to make CC work. As I never used mine I always did the CC delete.

Look into the pink wire from/into the CC unit.....on the manual it goes one place (pedal switch), on the auto it goes somewhere else (gear selector)...

Now the part numbers on the CC unit are different but the only thing I see different in the testing is the Pink.....more reading of wire diagrams needed. Let you know what I find.....

EDIT: Oh, wait, lets think about this. If you leave the old auto gear selector in there (in park so the starter works) the pink wire on the CC unit never "sees" the ground as if it was in D....humm if you grounded the pink wire directly to the cc unit..but then the CC would not come off when the clutch is pushed in...again, more reading needed....sorry, random first thought

EDIT2: The CC unit that is different is the box/control unit above the fuse panel....does the "shell" you bought have it...snag it and hang on to it.
