ok, so first off, i would like to replace the break system on my 01 accord 4cy ex.
i want slotted rotors, i hear they help dramatically and also look great.
what do i need and what brands should i look for?

also want to replace the sparkplugs...and suggestions on what kinds you prefer, or personal expierence.

for now i need help with making those 2 decisions.
im going to be under the car next weekend installing new headlights and figure i might as well do a few more thinsgs...

as you can see there is quite a big price difference, but from what i have heard brembo is a awsome company.

I have used the Power Slot rotors and I highly recommend them. By themselves you really wont notice much difference but I used them with Hawk brake pads and stainless steel braided lines.What a difference! As far as spark plugs go I like NGK but everyone has there favorites. I would just go to the local parts store and see what they have.With a stock ignition system they will all perform about the same.

 

brakes: cross drilled rotors (unless they are forged that way instead of drilled) don't give you much (if any) help over slotted. Not to mention some possible issues with cracking down the road (under race conditions). I'd stick with what jason said, power slot rotors and Hawk pads (hawk HP plus are not what you are looking for, those are a race pad, just Hawk, or hawk hp pads) and stainless lines will make a big difference in high speed stopping. Spark plugs: NGK only, Bosch are crap for honda's, stock ignition system get standard NGK's or you can get the iridium NGK's if you like they help a bit.... So here's my list

Rotors: Power Slot (Brembo)
Pads: Hawk or Hawk HP (not HP Plus)
Braided Stainless Steel brake lines (use whoever as long as they are quality)
Plugs: NGK, whatever flavor you like (Never bosch in a honda)

that's a pretty nice brake setup, great for stop/go and high speed stopping....

Just some advice dont buy Ebay cheap spark plug wires. I brought the ones for 20 bucks. The 4th and 2nd one died on me inn as little as 2 months. So its no worth it i learned my lesson and got the namebrand stuff and now its working good.
