Replacing front struts, springs too?

Replacing front struts, springs too?
I was told I needed new front struts, after 154K, duh? Looking for some advice or opinion here:
1 - any thoughts on new struts, not looking for a high performance racing break my wallet, just a normal strut, maybe a slight upgrade from the stock struts. I commute 110 miles/day and it's mainly highway.
2 - should I replace the springs too?
3 - if replacing the springs, refer to question 1, nothing flashy, economical and durable.
My "ride" - 2001 Accord EX, 5 spd, 154,000 miles, new shifter **** (yup did it myself and didn't curse once, lol), novice car guy here LOL

RE: Replacing front struts, springs too?
2 - Look carefully at the springs. Serious rusting, or developing cracks? If not, don't bother replacing them. The spring is all right there - there's no internal parts, so you can LOOK at them.
I would expect that a 2001 car would have no problem with it's springs.
