replacing front wheel bearings

Default replacing front wheel bearings

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if I really need to take my new bearings and old hub/bearing to a machine shop to get them pressed out and in. Has anyone done this at home with just a vice and some creative use of blocks, sockets, or other things? How "tight" are they pressed into the hub?

2000-3000 psi to seat them, usually 1000psi to cause movement. take them to the press.
