Rough '96 needs help
I have a 1996 Honda Accord that is in pretty rough shape after driving in Naples, Italy for 3 years. Currently in Germany but plan to move back to the U.S. this coming June. Will sell the car to a used (junk) car buyer before leaving. Unfortunately the car flunked the annual inspection because the SRS dashboard light was on. What is the easiest, cheapest thing I can do to pass the inspection and drive until June?
That depends on why the SRS light is on... First thing to try is reseting it, often this fixes the problem. Do a search on here for how to reset it. Its been covered at least a hundred times.
If reseting does not work, you can pull the codes from it and it could be something as easy as a belt buckle or as hard as the SRS unit.
