Rough Idle when cold
Hi folks,
I've gotta question.
I've got a 2000 Accord SE with the 2.3 Litre engine and it runs rough when it's cold and it's been running this way for some time. I don't have an engine light on so I don't know if it's gonna be worth scanning the system or not.
The interesting thing is that when I cleaned my throttle body I unplugged the sensor on top of it and then turned the key on so when I started the car again with the sensor plugged in i got a check engine light, but the rough idle had dissapeared completely.
I then reset the computer by disconnecting the battery waiting a while and reconnecting it. I then started the car, no engine light so I let it idle for 15 minutes so it could relearn it's idle again? Guess what the rough idle was back as soon as the sensor system was engaged.
Like I said the rough idle seems to get better but not perfect after the vehicle has warmed up.
Has anyone had this problem and if so any ideas as to how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
F.O.G.
