Default screeching sound

Its a 2008 accord coupe, v6 auto, with 22,xxx miles and lately over the past couple of weeks, when driving, there seems to be a screeching sound coming from the drivers side of the car, that goes away if i push hard on the brakes. So I'm thinking something might be rubbing on the brakes? Any thoughts? just looking for some info before I take it in. I thought it was coming from the speakers, but when I roll down the window I can hear it better, and it's just annoying the hell out of me lately.

Brake pads worn out? There's little metal tabs that rub against the rotor when the pads get close to worn-out. They make a kind of fingernails-on-chalkboard sound. I've seen brake pads that have tabs hitting when there's about 2mm of pad thickness remaining.
