Default Service Engine Light/acceleration issue

I have an issue with my '05 Accord. Yesterday, as I was accelerating to merge onto the interstate, the car began "bucking" or "missing" and wouldn't fully accelerate. At about the same time, the "service engine" light came on. The repair shop initially thought it was an oil pressure switch, but after replacing it, the issue remained. They now are saying it's a "computer issue" so I have to take it to the dealer. I know anytime the dealer even does a simple diagnostic, it's probably over $100. Any thoughts on the issue? Thanks!

What code (Pnnnn) was presented? This will provide best guidance on the problem. Most likely a faulty coil unit on one plug or defective/fouled spark plug. Get code and repost for guidance. Include details of your Accord in your signature.

good luck

Yeah, 4-cyl or V-6 is a HUGE difference & you didn't say which.
