Default shake in steering wheel at 40 mph

i feel my steering wheel shake(kind of wobble) while acceleratingtill, i reach 40 mph. After that i just goes away. i gotsteering rack changed, that helped a bit. first i t used to shake everytime. now itdoes not shake when i m accelerating straight with steering wheel exactly straight. Iread somewhere that brake calipers can also cause this. when i bought this car i used to see smoke coming out of my front left tyre, but now its ok. I dont know whats wrong. please help

wow.. smoke in the front tire? doesn't sound good!

anywho, i suppose you could get some wobbling if your calipers were messed up, but i doubt it.

try checking the balance of your tires, and the level of your rotors. and alignment probably wouldn't hurt either.

that's my $0.02

When i turn the steering wheel it tends to come back in steps( wobble). i went to garage today, he said it could be bad bearings. i don`t know. i checked everything but cannot find the problem solution.
