Wheel shakes when car slows down to about 20 Mph
Hi,
I am not too familiar with cars.
I recently noticed that when I slow down my car the wheel shakes. When I speed up (roughtly about 30 mph) it dies off. Also, my car tends to go right.
Everything in my signature is right except - it is 115K miles on my car.
I am due for tire rotation but I feel I need wheel alignment or balancing.
Will Tire rotation solve this problem or do I need to do alignment or balancing or something else ?
Normally what would be the range of the repair ?

Rotate the tires.
If the wobble moves to a new corner, then blame the wheel/tires. Maybe it's out of balance, but maybe the tire has worn into a funny pattern.
If the wobble doesn't move, then I bet it ALSO happens only when you apply the brakes?? That would indicate a "warped" brake rotor. It'll be good to know the result of rotating, before you decide what to do next.

Great
Thanks for the input deserthonda and JimBlake.
JimBlake you are correct. I talked to the mechanic and from the description it seems
1 )the rotors will have to be replaced
2) For my car going to the right it is wheel alignment
3) I will get the tires rotated as well as this is now due
The document provided by Deserthonda is also very insightful. I will check whether they are the front or the rear rotors using the handbrake.
