P0983 is not a valid code for that year/engine, not showing any evidence of "D" solenoid either, just A,B and C.

Thanks Jeff for the response. That code was from advanced auto code reader. So I short pin 4 and 9 together at dlc and try to get codes from ip. Eng light flashes 7 times, pauses then 7 times, pauses and repeats itself with 7 flashes every time (code 7,77,777,7777?) at the same speed. Trans D light does same thing but with 6 (code 6,66,666,6666?) ABS light same as eng light with 7 flashes every time. Air bag light was the only one different with flashing 6 times slowly and 1 time fast (code 61?) Trans is not shifting properly (harsh shift) is what sole concern is. TIA

The code 70 from the CEL is for an automatic transmission problem. The code 60 from the D4 is closest to a code 60-4 in my shop manual for an open in the circuit for shift solenoid D. Code 60-4 is also p0983 in the shop manual I have for that accord. Since shorting the DLC connector isn't the most precise way to get codes, I'd go with the coe P0983.

That code can from a bad shift solenoid D or the wiring. The shift solenoids are toward the ground on the transmission and towards the driver's tire according to the shop manual. I can't tell exactly how the solenoid is wired, but it looks like a yellow wire goes to it. You may want to look on ebay for a used part to get an idea of what it looks like.

I'd also highly suggest purchasing a shop manual for your car. you can get a pdf of the manual for $22 at automanualsource.com.
