Not sure about that. I like 3 pedals so I'm no expert on automatics. But I'd probably wait & see.

Ok, today I noticed after I cleaned the shift solenoid it was shifting worse into second gear, a little studder still but it was more of the RPM's getting higher before it shifted. It did not do this before. Any ideas would help me.

Thanks,
Frazier

I'm experiencing the same thing with my 2000 EX V6. If I press hard on the gas from 1st it will shift hard to 2nd but if I accelerate slowly it shifts smoothly.

Sounds like cleaning the solenoid does not help with this?

I'd also say that cleaning the solenoid can't hurt, so you may as well try it.

Thanks... but there appears to be several solenoids around the tranny. Which one to clean?

Shift C is the one called for when it comes to 1-2 or 2-1 shifts......

I am going to leave this document here for anyone looking for information on anyone trying to figure out 3-4 upshift or down shift issues. I have searched all over with tons of conflicting information. I was given this from the dealer. Solenoid “C” does not control 1-2 it controls 3-4. Hope this helps someone.
