Shifter Cable??

Shifter Cable??
Is this cable (shifter cable?) supposed t go above the sway bar?...its attached with a zip-tie which seems kinda ghetto. This picture is from under the front bumper looking aft. The only reason I ask is because my swaybar is coming off next week for new bushings. Thanks.

RE: Shifter Cable??
Unless there is something I don't know about I've never seen one of those cables run underneath the sway bar, my guess would be that someone screwed up and just zip tied it, run it over the top and screw the zip tie

RE: Shifter Cable??
You are missing the 'cable guide' that is supposed to support the cable. Maybe a salvage yard would have one. It attaches to the underside of the body behind the rear subframe, should be a place for a 10mm bolt to thread in.
Yes I'm fairly sure the cable goes under the swaybar. Never really took note of it before?
Iwouldn't think that the engineers would want the cable rubbing on the top of thesway bar.
I'll check my son's car this evening.
Edit: Dateline; Fayettenam Akysaws [insert ticker tape machine sound here] Just checked , and the cable runs UNDER the sway bar, supported by the Cable Guide.
