Key, washer or guide(s). I ask because you talk about "towards the engine or out".

Sorry, should be clear....washer around bolt-out. Guides around belt-away from belt, inside towards engine, outside away. Actual woodruff key out-away from engine....sorry about that.

Hey man, no problem, But just to be sure the "KEY" that slides in the pulluy onto the shaft, the slanted end, does the slant go the slot towards the engine or does it slide in w/the slant facing out...So the slant end of the key faces out then...lol If I had a camera it would of been a lot more easy...I use to work on Commercial HVAC equip, and have seen it both ways, but I had a more clear of a look, and better eyes back then...Plus it only temp, for me to get car moving to take to shop for some work to be done by some one who knoz what they are doing, unlike my self...lol

On my 2001 accord the slant on the woodruff key goes down toward the crank shaft and in towards the the engine block. On mine the end of the crank shaft slot is slanted to accept the slant on the woodruff key
