Question Smell of diesel fumes in cabin

Hi,
A few weeks ago I have brought a Honda accord 2.2 CTDI sport, 4 door saloon, year of make:2005

From the begining I had strong smell of diesel fumes in the cabin, as soon as I started the ventilation system. I have changed both cabin filter and air filter, and the smell is gone by about 80%.
Now I can still smell the diesel fumes in the cabin especially when I first start the car and only when I am blocked in traffic or driving at very slow speeds(10-15 miles/hour - first and second gear).
From the moment the speed is increasing the smell is gone completly.
I have to make a note, that the smell of fumes is persistent only if I have the ventilation working. From the moment I switch off the ventilation system, the smell is gone.

Any suggestions and ideas are more than welcome,

Thank you,
Constantin

We don't get the diesel engine in USA. But I think there was some discussion awhile ago among a couple UK drivers about this. Search for the word "diesel" or something like that. There aren't a whole lot of discussions about the CDTI around here, so maybe it'll be easy to find.

Only thing I can add to what Jim suggested is that I think that discussion ended up with the users having a crack in the manifold.....I believe that some were able to get Honda to cover some of the cost.
