Default Spark plug wires?

Ok guys, my check engine light is in my 94 EX. When I reference the flashing light it says the motor is not firing on the number one cylinder. I've had it to the mechanic and he replaced the distributor. Worked fine for a week then started up again. So I am going to change the plugs, wires, distributor cap, button and see how it goes. My question is, at the parts store the wires come in good, better, best. Does this really matter and if so what do you recommend? Does the size matter, 7mm, 8mm etc.? Thanks guys!

Honda factory sparkplug wires seem to last forever, so I'm inclined to look somewhere else for the problem. Even if you replace them, consider dealer wires, or NGK wires are supposed to be pretty good too.
