95 Accord EX 5 speed, 4 cylinder. The cruise does not engage most of the time, the problem has been getting worse the last 2 years, now it seldom works. I've replace the complete unit under the hood with a used one with no change what so ever. Any suggestions?????

 

If the cruise light doesn't come on when set button is pressed, most likely reason is failed steering wheel switch or spiral wiring coil has a cracked filament. Some diagnostics on steering column wiring should confirm source of fault.

The cruise light does come on for a second but the cruise does not engage. The odd time the cruise does come on the light does stay on---- no light, no cruise.
