Default Speedo Issue

Hey guys, I need some input from everyone....While installing some glow gauges on my accord, I accidentally slipped the needle on the speedo way past the 130mph mark, and felt it slip. Now, I can definitely tell that I'm not getting a correct mph indication, although I don't know by how much because I don't know how far the needle slipped. Has anyone ran into this before?

Also, if anyone with my generation accord could post some of their speeds at different rpms that be great so that I can get a ballpark idea of how far I'm off...For example, at roughly 2500 I do about 60-63, at 1500 I'm getting 40 (I think, I'll doubnle check after work).

Any input would be greatly appreciated, including any advice on overhauling the speedo unit, since I have a pretty good idea of how they work coming from aviation. Thanks again!

the easiest way to do this is simply start the car and see if the needle is resting on 0 or have someone pace you and you drive at 15mph (or so) according to your speedo and ask them what theirs said...

Ok thanks, I've give that a try...

To fix this, can I simply just force the needle to slip back in the other direction, or is there a better way to correct this? Can doing this damage the gauge in any way? If there's a way to internally adjust the gauge, I don't have a problem doing that. Thanks again for the help!
