Default RE: SPEEDOMETER/TRIP METER

I would try getting a little (don't douse) light machine oil into the trip odometer. Is your mileage odometer is working? Try resetting the trip odometer a number of times to distribute lube oil and hopefully jump start a slightly jammed mechanism. If that doesn't work, I would live w/o a trip odometer since it's certainly not worth replacing the entire instrument panel to have a trip odometer, IMO.

Windows guides are probably dirty and need lubrication. You can lower the windows fully and clean the channels w/ a thin tool, cloth strips, and some soap/water. If the guides are damaged, they need to be replaced which requires removal of door panel and window glass. There are various opinions on window guide lubricant, but you want a "non-greasy" lube. The silicon oring lube grease will work (spread thin). Some swear by WD40, but it dries out pretty fast. There is also spray silicon lube, but it also dries pretty fast. You can do a better job of cleaning and lubing by removing door panel, removing window glasss and perform the cleaning, but that's substantially more work.

good luck
