Default Splash Shield screws for 1990 Honda Accord

Hello,

Does anyone know the sizes of the screws that are used to hold the front splash sheid in place. I have a car that did not have a splash shield.

I have several manuals including a Haynes, but no mention of screw metrics.

Thanks
Mikek

Looking at the Honda online parts site show a 6 mm flange bolt. A lot of the metric screws/bolts used are 1.25 pitch. I am not sure of the length, but maybe a 20 mm or 25 mm, could be longer. Maybe someone else could chime in on the measurements.

I would think M6 x 1.25 x 20 or M6 x 1.25 x 25?

"accord"ing to my manual it is 6 X 1.0 mm torque to 10N-m/7 lb-ft.
I just removed them the other day and they are not normal bolts, the head is extra thick and there is a built in washer that is sort of bulbus to hold all that plastic on. you need 8 of them. also on my manual it shows 2 plastic clips but I don't have on mine, cause I think I ripped mine off years ago I can't remember. Anyway I just shove the 3 tips under the other plastic while lining it up straight. Don't tighten until you got the one by the driver's side tire(it goes straight up) on, it can be a beach to line up.
the whole bolt is about 20mm long with about 10-15mm of thread(eyeballed from not so good memory)
just because I can shove on my worn splash shield doesn't mean it'll work for you YMMV
happy trails,

Not sure if you are talking about the fender liner or the splash flap.
I used the following on the rear fender lining(splash guard) when my rear bumper cover started to come loose and i noticed at least 2 screws missing from the behind the rear tire where the rear bumper cover connects the fender lining.
I used regular plastic push pins for one hole, and I guess I used 6x10mm screw(bolt) and used plastic washer(nut) like thing from license plate holding kit. I got it from pepboys. Any auto parts store should have them, they have those plastic things with different sizes.
So any regular push pins will do for the places without screws. Check someone else's car of the same model you should have a pretty good idea. Mine is a 97, so may be your car doesnt use any push pins.

PS. I have been driving(not exactly, my car is dead right now) without splash guard(fender liner) on both the front wheels, I cant seem to find it anywhere and dealership is too expensive.
hope I helped.

There are 5 bolts under the front plus 2 clips, passenger side has 1 bolt in wheel well driver's side has 2 bolts in wheel well with 1 going straight up(see pic). I think there are other parts that you can loosen by the bumper so it comes off easily but IIRC I just yanked mine off once all bolts were removed and shoved it back on to put on(if yours has never come off before it may be a very tight fit) You need a 10mm socket for bolts and not sure about the clips(probably screw driver and pliers) I don't have those on mine. get yourself the service manual download if its still available, lots of good stuff in there.
