That's what I like to hear! I figured if I stirred up the pot I wouldn't just hear negatives about this car and tranny.

Hhhmmmm? So, if they didn't make ATF Z71 for 1990 tranny's, maybe I shouldn't use it and just go with off the shelf Dexron III?
I'll have to visit a honda dealer.

Try jumpering the SCS connector as if you were reading error codes with the flashing check-engine light. Maybe then your "S" light will blink.
I'll try this to see if any codes were stored in hard memory. What is the code for "no erros"?

I know for manual trannys, when they started selling Honda MTF it was good for the older ones too. I'm not absolutely sure if it's the same story for autos. But I think so...

If there's no stored codes for the engine, the CEL will just stay on solid.
I'm not sure if the tranny computer does the same thing.

I have a 4th generation accord and you should only use Honda ATF!
