Default Sputtering Problem with NEW 2007 Accord

Yesterday I picked up my NEW 2007 Accord EX. It had 7 miles on it. It was fine yesterday, today going to work, and coming back home. BUT, on the way home, right after it started to rain, the Check Engine light came on and the car started to sputter, very roughly. And the gas gauge went down 2 lines in a few miles.

It happens when the car gets to 3000 RPM. Even in Neutral. If I put my foot on the gas, once it gets to 3000 rpm, it sputters, and the tachometer goes haywire. Like its choking. BUT only at 3000 rpm, if you keep it under that its quiet and smooth.

Worse if you are driving then the car feels like an amusement park ride. I went back to the honda dealership and they told me sorry, call service.

I even took the manager for a ride in it - he was very suprised

..Now it has 50 miles on it.

Did I get a lemon?
Anyone hear of this before?
I will go to the service dept in the morning, but I am NOT happy. This is a brand new car, it should not have this problem?
It's a lease - anyone know if it a big issue, is there a way out of the lease?

Thanks for any advice.

Just get a new Accord?

And buy it..instead of leasing it....less chance of lemons that way.
