Default Squeaking noise when I turn and when weight shifts

Today I noticed that when I turn my steering wheel even the smallest amount either way I get a squeaking noise, the noise also happens when I get out of the car and weight shifts. It also happens when I come to a stop at a light or stop sign and the weigh shifts. Am I wrong to assume this is my shock/ strut or ball joint or something related to the mechanics in that area. My car is a 2000 Honda Accord dx 318,000 miles? Any help info would be appreciated

Look for the obvious like a broken spring. Also inspect the upper and lower ball joint along with the tie-rod end for a cracked rubber boot. Orange powder around a ball joint is a sign of metal wear that is the source of the noise.
