SRS light....next step
OK Guys, thanks for the previous suggestions. I did the paper clip in the connector trick and cleared the light. Good! As expected, when my wife returned from shopping it was on again. Are there any common component failures that cause this or is it a crap shoot? (2000 Accord V6)

RE: SRS light....next step
My SRS light came on andupon taking it to dealership to get checked, they told me it was the driver seat belt switch causing the problem. The problem was covered under an extended warranty so it didn't cost anything to fix. I didn't know if that was your case but may be worthing checking into.

without a compatible scan tool it's a crapshoot to start throwing parts at the car. The code is needed to be able to test any parts of the system.
Best bet is to take it to the dealer and have the codes read and then you can make decisions from anaccurate diagnostic.
As statedin the previous post there is a warranty extension on the seat belt latches and it is a common problem, so you at least have a chance for a freebie fix.
