SRS light Not coming on
I have a 97 accord SE and when i turn the ignition on the SRS light don't come on, i want it to work so it can tell me if Theres a fault in the system or something. i have not messed around with the MES yet cause i dont want to mess up and deploy the airbags. is it a bulb? How do i fix it? how much will it cost?
You check SRS codes by shorting the OBD1 connector under the dash. You reset codes by shorting the MES connector.
You can try checking codes.
Your problem can be from a bad bulb, the wiring, a blown fuse, or the SRS unit. You need to troubleshoot before repairing.
In the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link to online shop manuals. Get the 94 accord shop manual from the hondatech link.
On page 23-332, it has the diagnostics for a SRS light not turning on.
