stalling woes
have a 96 honda accord which stalls when u rev it and release throttle. stalls when coming to corner. have code for throttle pos sensor so replaced it and iac valve but no change ??? does not do this consistently , very confused. tried to reset base idle as instructed but wont idle with iacv unpluged.
If the mechanic did not give you the trouble code(s), then go to a place like Autozone. Autozone and some other parts stores will read the OBD-II trouble code(s) for you for free. Get the actual number, as the description given many times may not help that much to narrow down the issue.
You can also retrieve trouble codes by jumping a blue service check connector (located under the passenger glove box area) and counting number of blinks and sequence; however, retrieving OBD-II trouble codes via the OBD-II port (located behind the ash tray) can be more specific than retrieving the trouble codes via the blue service check connector.
