Please can someone shed some light on a problem that I am having with my 1999 1.4 manual Honda Accord. Upon turning the ignition, turns over but dies straight away, does this 8-15 times and then will start. problems seems to be worse when starting warm.

1.4 liters in a 1999 Accord means you're not in USA or Canada.... ??

Anyway, that might be a flaky ignition switch. Can you make the engine stall by wiggling the key?

Another possibility is the main relay, but when those fail it wouldn't start for a moment before dieing.
