There is no relay for the starter. The relay equivalent is the starter solenoid.
When your car doesn't start, see if the small blk/wht wire that is connected to the starter has 12V to body ground when someone has the clutch pushed in and tries to start the car.
You can also try hitting the starter with the handle of a screwdriver on the housing near the two electrical connections, aka caveman test, when someone is holding the key in the start position. Use light/medium force when hitting. If the car starts, then you pretty much verified a starter solenoid problem.

i will try that next time
it sucks that it only happens once a mounth i have had the starter tested a few times and they say its ok but when i remove it it gets banged around any ways my biggest problme is it only happens during the hottest part of the day and when it cools off its fine the only thing i can think of is something expands when hot so i am not getting a good conection

You could disconnect the battery, and clean the two connections with sandpaper at the starter. Then reconnect the stater, then the battery.
You can pop the clutch to get it to start if you are in a pinch, since your car is a manual transmission

You will have to wait until the problem comes up again.
Wiring up a 12V test light on that blk/wht wire to body ground would be easier if you have to work alone. Just use some extra wire so you can see the light when you are in the car.

I don't see you mention anything about any of other electrical items coming on such as the dash lights and such. If nothing comes on I would start with cleaning the battery cables.
