Starter problems can be difficult to separate from bad battery, bad battery connections, or bad battery cables. All of these should be checked carefully.

good luck

This is the 4th starter, and still under 100k...The starter spins but didnt engage to the crank/fly wheel in order to turn the engine over. The new starter does the same thing. After the 2-3 attempt the car will start and run perfect...Im not sure if the fly wheel could be missing teeth.
Has the ring gear been checked for missing teeth? I'm not familiar with K-series engines but on most cars the flywheel or torque converter ring gear teeth can be viewed pretty easily with the starter removed, turning the engine by hand to view the entire circumference.

Some parts stores can test the battery, alternator, and starter. They hook up their tester to the car and takes little time.

I remember I had this done once and they said my starter was not getting enough power. It wasn't too long before I was replacing the contacts for the solenoid.

All the relay does is supply battery to the starter. If it cranks then it is not likely the relay. I had a starter/flooding issue in my 89 Accord that resolved itself when I replaced the battery. I thought the battery was good. Check the voltage, it is an easy check with a $15 meter from Harbor Freight.

So i was using " remy" brand starters, thats why it would not work correctly. I tried a different brand, and it works.

I lightly hit the starter with a hammer and it worked, and I started the car like 15x now and no problems... The starter in now is a lifetime replacement... We'll see
