I read an older thread trying to address the problem with static on the radio when the rear defrost is on. It mentioned to replace the control box behind the left C-pillar. I'm not really sure where to get that part, or how to access it. Anyone had the same issue that they've resolved without replacing the control box? Or is it an easy fix that I can do myself?

 

What year is your car, number of cylinders, etc.? You may want to include in your signature so we don't have to ask.

Do you know if the car has side curtain air bags?

 

Yes it does.

 

The other thread probably is referring to the window antennae coil.

The following is for information only for some of the steps required and having a qualified technician perform the work is recommended.

Instructions to remove the C-Pillar and seat side bolster. Since the car has side air-bags, the negative battery cable should be disconnected and a wait of at least 3 minutes is necessary.
