Default steering noise/problem

hi i have an 06 accord v6 sedan, and i have had it for about 9 months. About a week ago, i took it on some canyon roads and made some sharp turns. Now, when i back up while turning the steering wheel, about half way, i hear a "thunk" sound, as if something near the steering or the axle snapped. I can even feel it on my floorboard. This also occurs when i take turns at higher speeds going in drive. It would be much appreciated if i can understand what the problem is, or if it is even a problem at all. Thank you for your time

First off Welcome to HAF,,,,

it is nNOT NORMAL to hear a thump noise from under the car at turns,,
my best advice is to raise the car, remove the wheel on the side you hear the noise from and chk for loose or broken suspension parts...
it could be the sway bar link i have seen a few of those on earlier year models ..

Hopefully your car is still under warrantee, I'd just bring it in to the dealership. You might have a steering rack/tie rod/ball joint/strut/sway bar issue, but I'm just guessing. Do you feel it in the steering wheel? How many miles are on your car? Any difference in the way your car handles?
