Steering pressure hose fitting question
Hi, I'm new to the site and enjoying the posts!
I have a question on the high pressure power steering hose for a 2004 EX 4-door with the 2.4 engine. The original hose is "weeping" fluid through the hose just after the connection to the pump. I purchased a new hose which looks just like the original (has the pressure switch) and after disconneting all the tie down points noticed the flare nut fitting on the OEM hose into the steering gear was a 19mm and my new hose is a 16mm fitting
I've checked the manual and it calls out a 16mm as well.
Does anyone know why the OEM is 19mm vs 16mm and if the 16mm flare nut will fit ie. are the threads the same just differnt sized flats on the nut for some reason? I didn't want to complete the installation until I get a handle on this in case I have to return this hose.
Thanks for any insight or experience anyone has on this one

Thanks for the feedback!
Unless I can confirm there are two sizes I'll go ahead and un-thread the fitting at the steering box, move the line out of the way (if possible) and thread the new one in to see if the threads are the same. It will be next week before I can get to it but I'll post my finding just in case anyone else runs into this problem. Thanks again!

Just in case anyone else runs into this, the OEM flare nut fitting on the high pressure steering hose on a 2004 Accord with the 2.4 L engine into the steering gear is 19mm. The replacement hose came with 16mm flats on the fitting but the threads are the same and the 16mm fits fine. Led to some confusion for me but the replacment hose worked fine.
