Struts
Okay, I was wondering do Accords have struts? This might sound like a really silly question, but I was reading when they compared the new Accord with the new Camry and they said that the Camry had struts while on the Accord they didn't say that it had struts. Any ideas? Pretty confused after reading that. I believe it was on edmunds.com and they compared the two cars.

RE: Struts
I was just doing some reading myself and it seemed that it was recommended to change struts and shocks on a much more frequent basis than I had always thought, this was an article on tire wear caused by tire bounce due to weak shock absorbtion, most shocks and struts looked good with no external leaks but the guts were wearing out at a faster rate than in the old days. This is another reason to just buy discounted shocks and struts and actually change them on a more frequent scheduled maintenance regime.

RE: Struts
The question is sort of about semantics. The word 'strut' can mean lots of different things.
Older Accords have McPherson struts, like the79 I just looked up.
Current ones havethe shock & springcombined into a type of strut, but it's not a McPherson strut because it doesn't control the postion of the steering knuckle in the same way.
