stuck distirbutor

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to loosen a stuck distributor
i have removed the necessary bolts to adjust timing, but the dizzy will not rotate

well the color is a maroonish, faded unsure
but the car is a 1987 honda, i dont know what trim

are you sure you loosened both/all the bolts? if so then I would try lightly tapping on the metal part of the distributor bracket to free it up and get it to rotate just a touch.... how did it get out of time?

Zing ,Zing saw that one go right over your head. LOL

if the dist hasn't been shifted in a long time it could just be stuck by it's 'O' ring,2 or3 bolts to loosen it.[one underneath is hard to find]then you might have to tap on the 'ears' of the dist body yo get it to rotate.

FWIW; if you have a sunroof it's an LXi [fuel injected]; no sunroof but power windows, LX [carbed] Hand crank windows and no Cruise Control DX model.

*L* you must have been posting the same time I was..... I notice from your signature that our wives would get along great....Neither one wants us driving "their" cars....
