Hello, I am new here, not sure it this is the correct place to ask this question. I have a 98 Honda Accord, v6 auto transmittion, we have had the car for 5 years and it has never done this. Last night we got in the car and it was stuck in park. Foot on brake as usual, started car , tried to move shifter to reverse but it would not shift out of park. Any ideas? Thanks,gary

 

mmm i would start with your brake switch, if you brake lights are coming on then you can rule that one out. then, there is also a switch in the console where the shifter is. bust out your multimeter for that one.
