And now you have a small daughter hanging around too. The garage will be a real educational place for her.

lol. maybe ya'll can help me with my main problem. the whole reason i was even digging around under my dash was to investigate my air control syystem. car was stolen then i got it back 10 months lalter. when i got it back the air mode controls did not work. air always blows at feet no matter what mode its in. im in las vegas and the wife is gettin pissy. need to find a solution. my best ammature guess is the motor that opens and closes the vents is out... or something might be disconnected or stuck. i already check fuses multiple times and unfortunately its not that simple. taking it to someone is last option. bout to take another look at it right now. any tips for gettin to that motor?

UPDATE!!
totally stoked... i successfully found the motor and it is dead. i could manually put the vents to blow out the top (wife should be happy). now i just want to find a used or cheap motor. The internet and people like you helped out A LOT in me being able to do this on my own. i am extremely happy. i cook my own food... cut my own hair... and now im learning to fix my own car. freakin awesome!!! its like being able to wipe my own ***

ok. so i just got back from the wreckin yard. i plugged in the motor they gave me and it didnt respond. this makes me wonder if my motor is the issue. if the motor is fine and the fuses are fine whats next??? the thievin bandits ripped out my stereo but i cant see any damage that they could have caused to the wire group.

When I had the '98, I never had problems with the air distribution; plus I don't have that Helm book any more. I'm not sure I can be much help without a wiring drawing.
