Thanks all for your input. My tranny was pretty much bone dry. Due to my confusion on the proper way to check it. I put two quarts of honda brand atf in and according to your feeb back on how it should b checkedits full now. A drain and fill will have to wait till. I can afford it.

Of course you know, the fluid went somewhere....check it, now that it is full, for leaks....cv shaft seals, cooler lines, ect.

I apologize for my ignorance but I am,not at all familier with the cv seals I think is what you said. Only cv boot but dont seem like thosr would b connected at all

I think he meant axle seals. The seals where the driveshafts/axles install into the transmission.

Yes, thank you Jim for helping me out ....I really wish we had that hammer on head icon for everytime I forget the details..

OP- Jim has given better info on where I was trying to go.......sorry.

I have heard that if my cv joint is clicking then I just need to replace the axle. True or false

Is it possible to just replace the cv boot and cv joint? And will it stop the clicking sound when turning?
