Default Stutters with Bad Exhaust Leak

My 1994 Accord EX has a pretty significant exhaust leak just in front of the muffler, which has been steadily getting worse over the past few months. Last week, it developed a very noticeable stutter when accelerating regardless of what gear it is in. The stutter (or shutter with significant sluggishness) is worst around 1200 to 2200 rpms.

My question is: Could these two things be related? Could the exhaust leak be causing the car to stutter?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If the leak is post/after the cat then I say no - it is not causing the issue.

Check for any stored codes - the service connector is behind/under the glove box.

Next, does this "shutter" only happen once the car is warm - normal op temp? Really sounding like the egr ports are clogged. There is a "how to clean" in the sticky at the top of this section - https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...threads-40780/
