Default Surging at low throttle/no load

First issue to address with my '90 Accord...

Engine surges and stumbles slightly at low throttle loads and in lower gears. Check engine light comes on after starting and letting idle a couple minutes. Seems to smooth out and pull strong under heavy throttle and above 3000 rpm. Runs pretty rough at idle and shudders a bit when in drive.

Secondly...

Dash instrument lights are out completely and both indicators blink very dimly when either signal is activated.

Third...

I'm planning on getting a service manual asap. Any recommendations on preferred manuals? Is the CD/ROM version that you see commonly on Epay a good and comprehensive manual?

You need to check the code to be sure, but the surging at low throttle is probably the TPS (throttle postition sensor).

The BEST service manual is from www.helminc.com but it's a bit pricey. But worth it if you're gonna keep the car & work on it yourself.
